2018 Mazda6 New Features

While it’s only been a few years since the Mazda6 saw a redesign, the Mazda6 offers a host of new features and refinements. The interior features “mature elegance” thanks to new Sen Wood. Sen Wood is a top-grade wood and is a favorite in Japanese tradition. The newly-redesigned heated and ventilated front seats are wider and constructed of materials designed to absorb vibration and increase lumbar support, providing more comfort and reducing fatigue for drivers and passengers.

In terms of re-engineering, the 2018 Mazda6 features a new award-winning SKYACTIV-GT 2.5T engine. The direct-inject turbocharged engine boasts 250 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque – comparable to that of a 4.0-liter V8 engine. The new engine also features a new cylinder deactivation system that – when paired with the SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission – offers increased fuel efficiency. The Dynamic Pressure Turbo gives drivers instant power and torque. The Mazda6 also features a redesigned suspension that offers a smoother and quieter ride with the standard G-Vectoring Control.

Additionally, the Mazda6 offers drivers a host of new high-tech features and options, including the new 360-degree View Monitor, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, new eight-inch MAZDA CONNECTâ„¢ infotainment system and windshield-projected Active Driving Display head-up unit. The new Mazda6 also features a windshield wiper de-icer, available 7.0-inch TFT gauge display, redesigned rear seats, LED headlights, a new grille and more.
