This innovative system reduces fuel consumption by simply closing two of the engine’s four cylinders. The SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission will increase smoothness in driving and give drivers a seamless transition between four- and two-cylinder operation.


2018 Mazda CX-5 Fuel Economy

The new 2018 Mazda CX-5 is fitted with a SKYACTIV-G 2.5 engine, offering an EPA-estimated 25 city and 31 highway miles per gallon. CX-5 models fitted with the available i-ACTIV all-wheel-drive system feature an EPA-estimated 24 city and 30 highway miles per gallon.

The new 2018 Mazda6 offers drivers an EPA-estimated 26 city and 35 highway miles per gallon with the new SKYACTIV-G 2.5 engine. The efficient engine also offers 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. In addition to the SKYACTIV-G 2.5 engine, the new Mazda6 also offers a new turbocharged engine which will give drivers an EPA-estimated 23 city and 31 highway miles per gallon.
