The new 2018 Mazda CX-5 features a number of upgrades and improvements in the new model year.
The 2018 Mazda CX-5 is still fitted with a 187-hp, SKYACTIV®-G engine, however, new for 2018, the CX-5's engine features Cylinder Deactivation technology. With this innovative feature, your engine can disengage two of the four cylinders to increase efficiency without sacrificing performance.
In addition to performance and efficiency, the 2018 CX-5 offers drivers a seven-inch MAZDA CONNECT® touchscreen display with a rearview camera, 30.9 cubic feet of cargo space and so much more.

2018 Mazda CX-5 New Changes and Features
Each trim level is fitted with a host of new features now included as standard equipment.
- CX-5 Sport
- CX-5 Sport models now feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and the now-available Sport i-ACTIVSENSE® Package.
- CX-5 Touring
- CX-5 Touring models now offer the full i-ACTIVSENSE Suite of safety technology (High Beam Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-Keep Assist, Mazda Radar Cruise Control and Smart Brake Support), 19-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seats, Mazda Keyless Entry and more.
- CX-5 Grand Touring
- CX-5 models are now fitted with two-position driver seats with memory settings and a six-way power-adjustable front passenger seat.
The 2018 model year also sees the discontinuation of Grand Touring models.
